To me that sounds like your exhaust slipped off (rubber part that connects your exhaust output to your canister and is connected by hose clamps). That would cause the alarm, bogging, white smoke and the ability to start later. Check all of your connections in your engine compartment, and bring a screwdriver to retighten your hose clamps.
