So not one of the 72 people that have viewed this winterize their own boat?

I will be winterizing my boat in a few weeks. We still have some 80 degree days left so I am holding out for a few more good weekends. This will be my first winter with this boat or any closed loop system boat. I will not be doing all of the antifreeze stuff or blowing air through. I will be starting it up and revving the water out in short intervals. That is all I ever did with multiple jet skis over the years so I am not too worried about doing that with my boat.

Mine does the same thing. I have just got used to it. I have read about people adjusting the bucket but haven't looked much further into it.

Altitude can also have a lot to do with top speed and over all power. I was just running at 4700 feet above sea level and had a significant decrease in top speed. I also had about 1000 less RPM than I normally do where I usually ride at around 250 feet. My Speedo has never been accurate though. Usually reads 10-12 below what GPS says on the top end. Where I ride water current also affects readings.

It could possibly be two unrelated issues. First the engine died caused by one issue. Then during the tow back it could have filled with water. Did you clamp the exhaust side hose before having it towed? It says in the manual it is highly recommended to clamp the hose before towing it. Or it could all be caused by the water in which case I don't know how water would get in with the engine running since it is a closed loop system.
