Cleaned contacts, no luck, checked incomming sig. it was good. Checked ground, it was good. Gave the tach a couple of raps with a 3/8" socket 6" extention, needle cam unlodged. Plugged it and it was slow to respond to ignition pulse test when ign. turned on would go to 5k and stick. I unpluged it and ( tach was already taken loose from dash ) put a spary staw on a can of CRC and removed the light from the tach. I then sprayed CRC inside the tach. Then pluged it in and powered it, tach went from 0 to 5500, powered it again and it did a little better, kept on powering on and off a dozen times and it moved freely from 0 to 8k no problems, it now responds correctly when in use. Only - was I do have a little CRC visable inside the lense but only a drop or two and CRC will not hurt plastic!!!
