Hi All,
I recently purchased a 1999 seadoo challenger 1800 with twin 110hp rotax engines from a friend. Last time I was on the boat it ran fine. When I got it from him it had been winterized by the dealer in his home town. I towed it home not realizing that I have no idea what it takes to get it ready for spring and there are no dealers or service places near me. My friend has gone overseas so I can't ask him at the moment. I know the wear rings were replaced last year and whatever fluid changes that needed to be done were done then. What do I need to do to get this ready for the water? Can I do these things myself? Will I have to be on the lookout for hose clamps ot anything? Do I need to do an oil change of any sort? Sorry for all the questions I am completely new to jet boats. Some peope have said to just fill it with gas and oil and let her rip, but I want to make sure. Also, is there a way to safely run the engines out of the water with hoses? Thanks so much for your time, Dan.
