I have the Rotax Engines. I also have the shop manual showing how to adjust the carbs and ensure the oil injection is also correct. A new carb throttle cable is spendy. It revs up when in and out of the waterIn or out of the water? Is it a Rotax powered boat? If it out of the water, it is normal to have a high RPM like that. If it's in the water, and the throttle blades are in the same position as the other engine, it could have an air leak or a mis-adjusted carb. Normally, the boat will slow down to around 1000-1300 RPM when idling in the water.Be very, very careful when adjusting anything that has to do with the throttle cables, or carbs. I recommend purchasing a service manual for your model and following the directions to the letter for these adjustments. IF you're not comfortable doing it yourself, get a dealer to do it.
