Don't get a suction cup one if you use it in salt water. Once the salt water hits it, it'll fall off.

Soemone correct me if I'm wrong but I think the manual says to remove the spark plugs. That releases the compression which will allow the prop to spin backwards. You may be able to pull the rope back out after this.

Carefull with the power breaking as well. My reverse gate broke off and had to replace it myself. Actually the cable broke due to a design flaw and the gate didn't lift up as it was supose to do. When I gave it gas the jet blew it off and broke the mount. The cable broke because salt water was getting under the shifter and dripping down the cable. Couldn't lube it because of the way it is bolted to the boat. Didn't see the condition because it's not in a serviceable location.
Reminds me, I think I will take the throttle control system out and lube it up before I go out for the season this year.

The 2008 Sport Boats DO NOT HAVE titanium coated steel washers! ONLY the 2008 personal watercraft have titanium coated steel washers in the superchargers. There are no exceptions or running changes from the factory, if it is a 2008 sport boat then it has ceramic washers in ALL of the supercharged engines. One fact you might be interested in is that we have NEVER have a sport boat supercharger failure, we have had several PWC failures typically on RXP models that have been ridden in the ocean where the operator did not practice throttle management while airborne. If you use Captain skills while operating your 150 Speedster SCIC the ceramic washers will be fine. Just back off the throttle a little while airborne and the ceramic washers will last for years.

I have also had my supercharger washer go out on my '06 sportster. Dealer repaired under warranty. The following year the oiler cooler also had to be replaced under warranty because the first dealer didn't do the repair correctly. Gears were all stripped up. I like to think that I treat my boat very well and do not push it. Yes, I even back off the throttle when I hit a wake from another boat. My gf was in a car accident and fractured her neck 2 years ago so I have to take it easy. Didn't stop the supercharger washer from failing. My warranty is up this year and I will be replacing the washer with a metal one now that it will be on my dime.
