Looking to sell a brand new, never installed SeaDoo OEM wakeboard tower with top / top cover boot. This tower will also fit the older Speester hulls. New this tower is $2500 from a dealer. I'm asking $1000 and you pay the shipping to you. The ONLY caveat is that there are no mounts for this tower that go on your boat and the rear removeable legs are not the correct ones. HOWEVER, these parts can easily be reverse-engineered and made by a local machine shop for a couple hundred bucks, if that. The legs I have can be used, but will just need to be modified by welding on the proper mounts once machined. Seems like a lot, but really it isn't for anyone knowledgeable in this kind of work. This tower is really nice looking....not like any aftermarket square type tower....it flows with the boat, and the top is ultra tight once deployed. Very nice quality, and very good price....or so I think.
The story behind this is I bought this tower to put on my 97 Speedser, however, my family is too scared to ride in the boat, b/c it's too fast, nimble, etc. I have three young children....too young to enjoy this boat, so I'm selling it, too. I will sell boat and tower for $4500, or boat for $4000, or tower alone for $1000.
I will be taking pics soon of everything, but email me if you are interested. These towers don't come around anymore whatsoever, so I figured I'd advertise it first.
Thanks,

Motor movement / rocking > mount mount or loose on cradle?
16 January 2012 - 10:28 PM
Hi all, need a little help here. One of my 85's in my 97 Speedster is able to be rocked back and forth in the cradle itself when I grab a hold to it. The movement does not appear to be in the motor mounts themselves, but more of the motor moving on the cradle itself. I can reach three of the 4 nuts that bolt the motor to the cradle and they FEEL tight. What could this be? I will try to post a video of me rocking it back and forth...hopefully this will help you help me diagnose this. The port engine does not doe this at all....very solid. I am fairly certain this is not normal. When running, the engine does not vibrate any more than the other engine, which is odd to me.

Looking for some pics of Seadoo factory tower mounts
14 December 2011 - 01:43 PM
Hi all,
I'm looking for any Speedster 150 owner with the factory tower on it to help me out by sending some pictures of the tower mounting hardware (the parts that are mounted to the hull, where the tower attaches to). Also, if you could tell me if the inside mounting area of the mounts is 'beefed' up with fiberglass or wood or both.
Here's the reason I'm asking: I just bought a 1997 Speedster with twin 85HP, which is a mildly different hull than the 150. I also bought a used Speedster 150 tower with bimini top (the one with the removable/folding rear legs) that I'm looking to mount on my 1997 Speedster, except it came without any mounting hardware. So, I'll have to manufacture/machine/fabricate some mounting hardware, which is why I need the pics....to give me ideas of how the factory setup looks. Also, looking to verify if I should/need to 'beef' up the mounting areas from inside the hull, so it doesn't crack/spider-web the fiberglass.
Any help sure would be appreciated. Please elaborate as you see fit! Thanks!

Tower fitment; 150 Speedster on a 1998 Speedster
21 November 2011 - 11:08 PM
Hi, I'm about to purchase a 1997 Speedster with twin 85 hp engines. I've found someone with a used OEM Seadoo tower with bimini top from a 150 Speedster model. Does anyone know if it will fit on the 1997 hull? I think they are the same hull 'shape', but am not certain.
