Hi everyone...
Just curious, has anyone mastered the 360 degree turn? (also known with jet boats as "Hamilton turn") If so please give step by step instructions.I have a speedster 150 255hp 2009.
So far I can almost get the turn done, but at 180 degrees I start to lose the momentum to get the front to come all the way round. Currently I am going full throttle into the turn power off at 180 degrees, wait, power on. I've also tried full throttle, power off, full lock on steering wheel, power back on... this gives a real whip, but still lose that momentum to get the 360 completed. Should one use reverse as part of the sequence?
What the top speed is it safe to go into a full lock on flat water? I've been game to do it at about 40MpH (70KmH)Seemed OK.
In New Zealand they seem to be able to spin their jet boats the full 360 degrees, and the stern seems to ride up and over it's own bow wave. Maybe it's the hull shape?
please help?
