My boat is a 2006 Seadoo Challenger 180 CS
I am having my Stock stereo system totally redone. I am starting off with a Clarion 308 Head Unit, 2 6-1/2" Memphis speakers, 2 - 6" x 9" Memphis speakers, a 10" Memphis Sub Woofer, and a Memphis Amp. Has anyone had an Update done to their boat of this magnitude ?
Can anyone give me information on Memphis Audio equipment ?
Thank you

2006 Seadoo Challenger 180CS in Pennsylvania

Hi All, 10/19/2011
I have a 2006 Challenger 180CS that I have recently purchased. The boat came with
an extended BEST Warranty. I took it into my local Seadoo dealer (Mosites Motorsports)
by Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. They went over the boat and replaced the Super Charger. The
one thing they MISSED was that the Reverse Grate did not lock when in Forward. This
causes a very dangerous situation when going into a turn because the Nozzle is pointing
to the far left or right when the Non-Locked Gate is forced down by the water pressure.
The boat is turning at a 20 degree angle and suddenly goes beyond 45 degree's. If I was
a True Newbie to Jet Boats... The boat would probably over turn. HAS ANYONE EVER
HAD THIS HAPPEN WITH THEIR BOAT ?
I have owned a 2005 Kawasaki STX12F from new... it never gets any water in the Hull when
out on the water... On the other hand, my 2006 Seadoo Challenger 180CS does... when I
take it out of the water and pull the Drain Plugs... I usually see prox 5 Gallons of
water come ou ... IS THIS NORMAL ?
Has anyone ever tried to Sound Proof the engine compartment on their Seadoo Challenger 180.
The Super Charger makes the boat Loud over half throttle. Has anyone used Ultra Barrier
peel and stick from marinefoam.com ?
