Yeah it appears price is up $2200 on the 210 Wake from the 2011 model, but that is due to the digital touch-screen technology, 3 hard ballast tanks, two extra tower speakers, swivel board racks, and light bar on tower.

Completely agree. Love the extras on the Wake 210. Just wish it was closer to price neutral to the best 21 foot yamaha (212x) has to offer. Top end speed doesn't matter too much to me though. I'm still boatless and saving. Just means I have to save my pennies a bit longer.

Ouch $46199 for 310hp 210 wake....that's $3000 more than a faster 2012 Yamaha 212x.

I still much prefer the Sea-Doo design and features though.

Contacted a dealer. Here's what he had to say:

As far as the weedless system, the sea doo weedless system is a pivot that lets the grates go straight down and is activated by electronics, if you remember the older system it was operated manually with a cable system. New system is much better and can be added to the 2012 models after purchase. It is 600 more from factory, don’t have price on kit for after sale install. This allows the weeds to drop off the grate, and clear it.

I'm in the Cincinnati area as at least one other on the board. There are 2 fairly close dealers, Pleasant Valley Marine in Florence, and another in Columbus. I actually went to PowerSports360 in Port Clinton to get mine. I wish I had had a little more time when I picked it up, as they offered to take my out on it, but they did take nearly an hour showing me all the features and explaining everything. And funny enough, a guy I worked with got his Yamaha the next day from them. Another guy I houseboat with from Cincinnati also got his Yamaha from someone up north.

I haven't been down to Pleasant Valley since spring, so I am not sure what they have in stock, but I have been happy with their service so far

I have also seen as many Sea-Doo as Yamaha on Caesar Creek Lake where I normally boat. Of course, I went with a 180 as it would fit in the garage and was big enough for me, my daughter and friends.

That's great to hear! I don't mind picking mine up rather far away, I've been worried about maintenance work. Have you had any issues so far?

Also, I plan to primarily boat on Caesar's Creek too! Should I worry about the nonexistent clean out ports on Sea Doos as Brento mentions? Have you had the 'opportunity' to hop in, hold your breadth and clean out? I also wonder how good/or not the 2012 Weedless gate system is.
