speed wings?
05 May 2006 - 10:38 AM
If you watch the videos for seadoo sportboats at www.seadoofilms.com, the video Rusty Dogs, at the end, the actors discuss the doo's used. One actor states that on the sportster they added a speed wing? does anyone know what this is? how much they cost to install? thanks dexterdoo
Hydro-turf
01 May 2006 - 11:47 AM
Kev, thank you for turning the site onto Hydro-turf. I finally purchsed mine this past week for my 2005 Seadoo Sportster 4 tec. I bought the light gray which matches up really well with the seats, and graphics. The stuff was simple to install with the 3m backing already in place. I will let you you know how it holds up this first season with it! thanks again for your website! Dexterdoo
stereo upgrades
04 April 2006 - 08:24 AM
A while back I inquired about stereo upgrades to the seadoo sportster, and you guys gave me great feedback. I finally upgraded mine with two Infinity 602 6 1/2's and a free air 10 inch kenwood subwoofer , powered by a 640 watt Clarion amp. It ROCKS! also a note to all seadoo sportster buyers, when I was installing the extra goodies, me and my friend who installs stereos for a living, discovered the factory installed clarion's between the seat posts rear, were out of fase, meaning polarity was incorrect from the factory installation. So, if you get really crappy sound from the get go, and no midbase, check the speakers for wrong polarity. Every one have an awsome summer, Chicago's trying but they keep teasing us, with 65, down to 30 the next day! soon , soon, I know! LOL dexterdoo

Can anyone tell me of any stereo upgrades they have made to their Doo's? Just trying to figure out the best way to get great stereo sound in the boat! Ty , dexterdoo
hp bog down
01 February 2006 - 01:40 PM
I am Steve, new to this site, but think it's a great idea. I own a 2005 Seadoo Sportster 4-tec 155 hp. I bought this boat because it was my first time at any marine activity. I felt with small kids, the jet was better than propeller for safety reasons. Its been an awsome performer for me. The only problem I have had is when I pull my 3 -seater speedzone3 tube (www.sportsstuff.com). Because the tube itself is encased in a canvas cover, which sometimes sucks in a bit of water faster than it can drian out the back bottom whole, the boat seems to bog dowm at low speeds, struggling to get back to a decent speed. Sometimes reving to 7000rpms. Has anyone else experienced this with pulling a heavy skier or bigger size tube. I purchased a Great Big Mable 4 -seater for this summer, but that doesn't have the same cover so I think it will actually pill better. Dexterdoo
