I had the same problem. Turned out that the contact inside the key was bent down. When you look into the key, there are two metal contacts. One against the bottom and one against the side. With mine, the contact that was supposed to be against the side had bent down on top of the one on the bottom. It wasn't clear at first that there was anything wrong with the key, so look very closely. I had this problem the first time out too so there is a good chance that it is due to a manufacturing problem and therefore there is a good chance that it might be the same problem that you are having. If that is the problem, don't feel bad. It took my dad, brother, and myself about 30 minutes to figure it out.

I want to do the sub move. I have tried the combination of lever moves in the past not knowing at the time that it was supposed to sink the bow. In my Sportster SCIC, when the sub move is attempted there is absolutly no sinking of the bow. The boat does stop quickly however, and the reverse plate causes 20' arches of water to shoot up and out from the jet assembly. Its a good crowd pleaser but I get no submarine action. I'm wondering if the difference between the Sportser and the and the boat in the sub-move video are to blame. Does anyone have any advice for sinking my boat.
