Has anyone tried to improve upon the standard audio radio/cd combo. It's not bad but not exactly high fidelity.

Considering possibility to add tower speaker or perhaps a bass unit + amp under the driver console, or maybe to add 2 x extra speakers at the bow.

Any ideas / suggestions.?

I already upgraded my system to the newer Clarion deck to get use of the remote controls and CENet options.

It's very easy, direct swap, no soldering or re-wiring except if you want to add the LCD remote like I did.

we cant hear ours over the engine so i dont think its worth doing - especially if when the engine is off it will run the battery flat - unless somebody can say that they run their stereo a lot of the time without it affecting the battery - how long would it take to discharge the battery?
