Forgive me for re-posting this, but I would appreciate some guidence about the Seadoo extended warranty. I have just visited www.seadoo.com but cannot find anything about it at all....
The following was originally posted in Sportster 4tec forum.
Can someone advise. I am purchasing a new Sportster V-tec. The dealer has offered me the extended warranty. Prices given are :-
+2 years $904, +3 years $1008, +4 years $1150 Are these prices about correct?
Question is it worthwhile spending the money - Yes / No ?
What does the warranty cover. I didn't ask the dealer just yet. Must I take the extended warranty right away?
I would appreciate some help to decide.
Graham.

we had this discussion a while back and the consensus of opinion was that it wasnt worth paying the money, as if i remember , these deals are set up by the dealer and not seadoo - so its a dealer extended warranty not manufacturers - which basically means it an insuarnce policy the dealer takes out - or at least thats what i remember of it - i might be wrong it would be worth asking the dealer.
The boat that just passed you was a seadoooooooooooo.

Thank you for the input. I didn't try to look for any old postings, maybe there is a seach function on the main page, I will look after I have sent this. Anyway, for good or bad I took the 5 year option at $200 p/yr it's not too expensivewe had this discussion a while back and the consensus of opinion was that it wasnt worth paying the money, as if i remember , these deals are set up by the dealer and not seadoo - so its a dealer extended warranty not manufacturers - which basically means it an insuarnce policy the dealer takes out - or at least thats what i remember of it - i might be wrong it would be worth asking the dealer.
I picked the boat up this evening and so got yr post just too late. Anyway it done now. After a bit of a struggle I had to take the wake tower completely off as it was 4" too high even in the lowered position to get the boat (Sportster) into the Subterainen condo carpark. . With only a bit more thought they could have made it lower much further.
Thanks again!
