I just found this forum while searching for SOMEONE who can service our 2004 Utopia 185 in Northern New York. Our dealer passed away and no one in this area now services Seadoo boats. All the local mechanics say Seadoos are a "nightmare" to work on (must be why Seadoo stopped making them). We live in Lake Placid and from what I understand the nearest service dealer is near Albany (120 miles!!). Any ideas??

Newbie and frustrated

I actually found that seadoo boats made up until 2005 with the merc engines were easier to get service on. I owned a 2005 Utopia SE and my mechanic was a Mercury specialist and he said everything mechanical was merc and easy to work on.
The engine and drive components were all merc and he had no problems with parts of working on it.
