I'm tring to learn about the smartcraft gauges available through Mercury. I want to add a depth gauge but if you install the system monitor from Mercury and the transducer, you have that readout also available. The Hummingbird gauge is a stand alone one function gauge. Why not put that money towards the SC set.

What is used for the stock gauges on a 2004 Utopia 205? Where are their signals derived from?
