Hey everyone, great site!
I am in the process of deciding on a boat and I am torn between the Sea Doo boats or the inboard ski boats. A little background info about my situation...
I am a show skier (pyramids, jumping, barefooting, wakeboarding, etc). I am wondering how the performance is with these Sea Doo jet boats. Has anyone ever done a barefoot deep start behind one? I like the idea of barefooting on jet wash vs. prop wash. Also, how is the wake for wakeboarding on the other models besides the challenger X with the ballast system?
I am getting excited about these boats!!!
Thanks everyone!

if you want to barefoot satrt behind these you will need at least a 70 ft rope - there is quite a lot of wash behind the boat - especially at about 40mph - there is not much wake at the sides but the jet wash is considerable. i will post a video extract so you can see the wash.

Thanks for the video, it seemed to have a good pull out of the hole. Does that spray from the jet every smack you? Does anyone have any footage of a barefoot deep start? Or a wakeboard run? I like movies. If you guys have time check out the website I made for our collegiate water ski team at www.uwsp.edu/stuorg/waterski/ click on movies and check them out. Those were shot behind Malibu Response LX. Hook me up with more footage. Just curious if anyone else soaked in the sun on the water all weekend long. It was in the 90s up here in WI and I may be sunburned.
Have a good one,
