A bit late to post but I just found this newsgroup...

I'll buy a SpeedSter 1995 in the weekend and I'd like to have views from current/previous owners...anything I need to be aware of? Positive, negative experiences?

I sincerly hope you have better luck with yours than i've had with mine. I bought one, same year & model last summer. The guy gave me the shop manual with it when i bought the boat. didn't realize how much i'd come to use it. Thus Far it's needed new batteries, one starter, boost solinoid, jet pump housing, blower fan, shift linkage peices, and lot's of other misc. small parts. latest thing i noticed just yesterday The oil injector pump on right eng. stuck at maximum. - explains all the smoke at idel. easy fix, but still had to order a couple more parts. (oil pump cable guide&snap ring) if you don't know about it already check out www.worldofpowersports.com they have lot's of parts diagrams to help you with repairs or - in my case spot the missing parts
