we do not have speed limits at night either - which is rather worrying

The boat that just passed you was a seadoooooooooooo.

No speed limits, but one would hope that COMMON SENSE would dictate actions in this situation. Lighting is a must and a law here. Common sense is optional it seems in some places. I won't call this an accident, because it most certainly could have been avoided with just a couple people using their heads.
Possibly awareness of ones surroundings and common sense could have prevented this senseless crash and loss of life. We rarely if ever navigate at nite, simply because we don't have the equipment to do so. This story just goes to show that you always have to be aware of what is going on around you, especially on the water, and especially at night.

1997 Seadoo XP 800 (sorry, at least it is a DOO!!!)
