Frustration!
Bought a new LEDI last week (friday) and had it out - then the connector that sends water to the cooling jacket broke, and my new boat got hot. Sent it back to the dealer, they gave me a new one. Not bad!
Today I'm out, and after some rough starting (seaweed) cleared up, I've found that I can pin the throttle and it still won't go above 5000 rpm..! Needless to say this is really frustrating. Thank God nobody took me up on my offer to go out on the water today, would have been pretty embarrassing.. two problem boats in a row? Can't be..

Rev limit at 5000?

When I bought my 2004 sportster LE DI they said that there was a recall that kept the boat from going over a certian "RPM" which tied up my boat 2 weeks after I signed for it...I want to say it was a "rev-limiter" however I'm not sure. Talk about frustrating.. It was hurricane season anyhow, so it wouldn't have been much use, but not having my boat when I paid for it was very VERY frustrating. Anyhow, so my guess is the dealership wanted to keep you running, so they swapped you out, and the one they gave you either A) was never tested after they purchased it at wholesale (or from another dealer) or
