my dealer has siad the following to me - why change a variable pitch impeller for another variable pitch impeller?
do this instead
diffrent air filter adds 5hp
different supercharger adds 15 hp depending on which ones you go for
my delaer changed an impeller on a boat recently and they saw no diffrence in top end - just mid range acceleration
personllay i think the new air filter will be my forst mod - they are quite inexpensive and actually help the engine breathe better.

how about a high pressure hose from the nozel backwards - that should shift it a little - get a long drill bit and gently tap it from the nozel side to loosen it - presumably it is jammed bewteen to vanes - to check just put your hand through the grating and see if you can move the drive shaft slightly left to right
this is only what i would do if it happened to me - this is not a recommended mathod for repair or removal of the problem - just an idea - if you are in any doubt at all take it to your dealer
i am sure you have thought of this but hey just trying to offer some help - i had a ski rope around my drive shaft on my second trip - very annoying and frustrating - i personally think a 1-2 inch square grating should be fitted to the intake area of these boats - that shouldnt impede water flow too much to affect the performance.

hey thankx allot, i will do the breather for sure, is there a brand u can suggest? k&n or something? i dont know a good air breather from a crappy one. i think ure right about the impeller. they arent cheap either. i will certainly look into a diffrent supercharger. thankx for ure reply...only buds can tell the hours on your doo so its a dealer thing - as for the rock

I have used a srew driver to pry out a rock before. You can wail on it a bit without damage to the impeller or shaft. Try not to ding the wear ring or impeller though. You will probably need a new wear ring anyway if the rock was in there for any length of time. Been there, done that!only buds can tell the hours on your doo so its a dealer thing - as for the rock

It is surrounds the impeller. There is a very tight tolerance between the impeller blade ends and the ring. If you look closely with a flashlight you will see that the area around the impeller is actually a seperate piece. It is built to be replaced since that is often where damage will occur if something gets stuck in the pump.where is this wear ring?? i keep hearing about it but do not know where it is or what it is?

the wear ring is a white piece os PVC pipe. It is exactly where your inpeller is, if you find the impeller, you find the wear ring, as the wear ring is totally enclosed by the wear ring. im on my second one.where is this wear ring?? i keep hearing about it but do not know where it is or what it is?
