I have a 1998 jet boat Sportster 1800. It does not beep when I install the lanyard. I have two lanyards and neither now work. I checked the fuses and they look okay. The boat was working fine, but I had to replace the reverse cable. I had to order parts which took some time. After replacing the cable, the battery needed charging. I charged the battery with the positive removed. The battery seems fine (fan and radio work). When I install the lanyard, I get no beeps. When I hit starter five time, I get one short and one long. I install lanyard and still get no beeps. How can I find the problems?
