Hi guys. Been searching for a solution to this one. My remote unit (on the dash/helm) for the Jenson all the sudden doesn't work. Search. Search. Search. Nothing. So before I go taking things apart, was wondering if this remote is battery powered and may simply need new batteries (that would be easy!) or is it wired and am I looking at a bit more complex of an issue? any ideas on where to start?

I actually got in behind my dash today to tighten up my dash bolts causing some rattling issues. I took a look at the remote for you. It is a wired device with one just one main control cable going to it. There is a plug about 2 feet from the remote that may have worked its way loose. I met to snap a photo for you but completely forgot that part after searching for the right tool.

VERY cool! That helps a lot. Sounds like a simple setup... hopefully a simple solution. Odd coincidence today... was Dooing today YAAH! ) and noticed the horn isn't working either. This has me thinking down the path of a possible fuse issue or the very least a bit larger of an electrical issue. I'll have to check all the other functions on the helm are working properly. I know everything in the digital cluster works. I believe I used the blower too. Either case, Thanks for that piece of info. Excellent starting place.

Too easy! Thanks... opened the helm, there it was... remote cable disconnected. Most likely from a bouncing around a bit over time. Came right back on!

Sorry for the late reply, but still working on the horn issue. I did get a chance (short chance) to at least take a look at the fuses. It appeared to be intact. I think I may need to start digging into the wiring diagram. Go from there.

Any suggestions?

Well if you can't find anything obvious when you start tracing wires out you should also check to see if the switch is good. You can test the with a multimeter in the continuity setting. I would also check to see that the power side of the fuse is getting its power.
