After all the problems I hear about and have experienced, I am thinking about removing the superchargers (SC) from my engines. I figure maybe I would get better gas consumption, no SC problems and no SC maintenance $$$. Most places I boat have a speed limit of 45 MPH anyway.
Anybody have ideas or information about that modification?

Thanks,

I've never heard of anyone permanently removing the SCs. It seems like it may be more of a hassle and more expensive than just addressing the SCs.
The SCs aren't really a big problem once you get the ceramic washers out of there. Once that has been taken care of they just need to be rebuilt after 100 hours (they can go longer (120 hr) in the boats as they don't see the severe use that the skis do.) and you are good to go.
