I have an '04 Sportster 4-Tec that, from day one, has had a surging problem.
It's worst around 2000 rpm but it is everywhere except full throttle. If I set the throttle at 2000 rpm and leave it the engine will surge between 1700 and 2200 every few seconds. Hot or cold, doesn't matter.
My dealer has replaced: coils, injectors, throttle body and now computer.
I've talked to a number of owners who have the same problem. So far I haven't found one that doesn't.
Anyone have one that DOESN'T do it?
Anyone that had the problem and got it fixed?
Anyone got a positive response from BRP like "we're working on it"? All I got was "it's up to your dealer to determine if that's normal". What a buch of crap.
