At the end of last season I squirted some marine grade grease into the trailer bearing and the carrier bearings in additioin to putting stabilzer in the gas and fogging the engine.
I'm the second owner of this boat. So, beyond replacing the spark plugs I'm not sure what the previous owner did maintnance wise.

The first and best maintenance is going to be PUT THE PLUG IN BEFORE YOU BACK IT IN THE LAKE!I was wondering what maintnance I should doo before putting the boat in the water for the 1st time.

Just remember not to run the engines too long in the driveway, 5 minutes max. Burn all the fogging oil out before you put in the new plugs. Just look and make sure everything is tight and in in good shape, such as cooling hoses, exhaust hoses, etc... Did you store the boat indoors or out?

I store it in my garage. 5 min max? Is this even with the garden hoses hooked up? When I winterized it I turned the water on 1st. I've since heard this is a "no no." Why is the cooling system setup so water may enter the cylinders under the wrong conditions? The first and best maintenance is going to be PUT THE PLUG IN BEFORE YOU BACK IT IN THE LAKE!I was wondering what maintnance I should doo before putting the boat in the water for the 1st time.

5 minutes even with the hoses connected. You're not worried about the engine overheating, you are concerned with the driveline components ( stock carbon seal/floating ring) overheating.I store it in my garage. 5 min max?
