Looking at buying my first jetboat,
Its a 98 challenger with a single rotax,
Really just looking for advice if they are any good or not? and anything in particular to look out for/
Thanks...

I would probably shy away from a single Rotax powered craft of that age, simply because I prefer the twins. If you doo decide that this is the one for you, a simple compression check on the engine is the first order of business. Cleanliness is second. Test drive is last. It should start easily, not smoke excessively at start up, and be quick out of the hole in the water. Excessive engine revs when you "punch" it is a sign of poor pump performance. Excessive smoke is a sign of wear. A dealer inspection is a good idea, if done by a good dealer.Looking at buying my first jetboat,
