I've owned numerous boats including a 79 Glastron CVX 20 460 Jet and currently own a Four Winns 170 with a Volvo IO. I like the Utopia 205 but wonder about the reliability of the 240/250 merc engine and drive system. I've heard that the combined cost of gas and oil is higher than a traditional IO and that the merc could be high in maintenance costs. I'm 61 years old and want a reliable/ economical ride with the comforts of the 205 that will run all day at 35 mph. Would greatly appreciate any feedback available.
