I have a 96 sportster with the 718cc motor and bought it in the spring. It first would only run on the top end if you keep pumping the primer?!?!? so i took it to a dealer not a seadoo dealer just the local boat shop. The seadoo dealer will only work on PWC and this seems to be a Boat!!! so they wont touch it!!!! (stupid)... Well anyway they said it need the carbs cleaned. So they put in a kit and charged me $300 small price to pay for fun! took it to the lake and same prob!!! so i presurized the fuel call and sure enough the "Y" on a line was broke fuel shot everywhere!!! great thought the prob was fixed. But no same thing....... Did a compreshion check front cyl had 145 lbs and rear had 100.... Great I pulled the the jug and piston and jug looked fine so i put new gaskets and ring in it. Took it to the lake and still same thing. The only thing the i havent fixed it the spring that retuns the oil flow because seadoo dosent make it anymore. I though about premixing it but coulnt think it would make that big of a diff. besides smoking.
