i just had both motors in my 99 challenger 1800 and i don't remember what the break in period was. i know it was 10 hours but i don't remember what you have to do so that the motors are appropriately broke in?

You are right on the 10hrs, basically vary the speed through the 10hrs. WOT for short bursts but not long periods of time. Take it easy for the first 10hrs and you should be good to go.
