How much oil? if it's just a "sheen", chances are you won't find a leak. If it is very noticeable by more than a sheen, like floating on the bilge water, then you could probably find a leak somewhere. Start at the oil tank and work your way to the engines by following the lines.
Are you sure you have twin 720's?

hi tiggerman! thanks for your reply. i notice more of an accumulation of oil on the plug when i pull it out. it is like i dipped it in oil. i called the dealer regarding the problem and he said unless i have oil spewing out of the crank shaft, i should not worry about it too much but i should keep an eye on the oil level just in case. what does the 720 stand for after the twin 85hp rotax?Hi sunnyday and welcome!

The reason I ask is I was under the impression that the SK had twin 110 HP engines, not 85 HP..... Regardless of what the dealer says, I would still have a look and see if I could spot anything.

right on! i will definitely take your advice and trace the oil line to verify leak source for myself..The 720 is the cc capacity of the engine, which in this case is actually a 717....

another question...my fuel gauge does not work. what should i check first to see if i can get it working again? right now, the only way i know if i am low on fuel is the low fuel control beeps & flashes at me or i poke my nose in an take a visual look at the tank. is it costly to fix?
