Just got the Speedster in the lake tonight and heard a loud beep. Message is "Chk Eng" and "POS44" (or "P0544"?). Of course my service manual is 135 miles away at home, and a search on those codes didn't turnup anything. Can anyone help me know what to check so we can use it this weekend?
It's a 2007 150 Speedster, 215 HP supercharged.
Thanks.

I checked the shop manual but I could not find a reference to this specific fault code.

Thanks, Kevin.
I Googled it and surfed around to find it (code P0544) apparently is a faulty exhaust gas temperature sensor, or some type of problem with it. With my shop manual back home, now I've got to look in the engine compartment and try to find that sensor. Hopefully it's just a loose wire or something. Or maybe a loose wire behind the instrument panel (hopefully that's all). If not, I don't know if I can safely use the Speedster for the weekend before I pull it.
On a different topic, the switch to my blower appears defective. That's why I was playing with wiring behind the instrument panel. A week ago I found a website selling what looked like an exact replacement for $9.95. Foolishly I didn't order it then, and now I can't find that site. Oh, well.
