I think I may have a little problem. I was talking to the guy I bought the boat from. He is a small time used boat dealer. He made the comment. " I just buy Penzzoil Marine 2-stroke from Wal-mart because it's a lot cheaper.” I asked him if he put that in the SeaDoo boat and he said yes. I know that Rotax engines require a certain type of oil and when I had my XP I only ran SeaDoo oil. The question is What do I do now? If I drain the tank do I need to flush the system? If so, how? What kind of damage might this oil have caused? It was probably ran about 4 hours on this oil. The engines are still running good.

Are you sure only 4 hours? No way to really tell I guess. Drain your tank, fill it with some fresh API-TC oil, and let the new oil flush the lines . There are lots of oil lines in there and it would be tough to get them all clean anyway. Good luck with it. If it has only run the 4 hours, chances are you are good.
