Hi all. Went to the dealership today to check on the repair that wasdone to the dash of my brand new never used 2010 Challenger 180. I took this oppertunity to check the boat out in detail as when I bought it there was still snow on the ground. The first thing that I noticed is that one of the trailer tires was weather checked and the salesman said that they would replace the tires right away. This set my radar off a little so I did a quick walk around the boat and much to my suprise I found some small cracks on the left rear side of the boat in the blue paint. There is no signs of impact but the cracks look like a spider web. I pressed on the area and it is not soft or anything. This rally has me concerned as it also appears that at some point that area may have been painted. Looking at the rear of the boat the line between the white and blue is not as straight and crisp as the right rear.
Sorry for being so long winded but I would appreciate any comments you guys may have.
I have dealt with this dealer many times and have dropped tens of thousands of dollars and they have always been truly stand up with me, I just want to know if I should push them hard on this issue.
Thanks

Paint issue?

Can you post some pics so we can see the damage before making any recommendations?

Thanks for the quick reply Kevin. I do not have pictures of these cracks as the boat is at the dealer and I have not taken delivery yet but I have paid for the boat.
I guess what I am trying to get the feel for is are theses light cracks something that I should break the deal on or let the dealer repair.
The cracks are in the blue color about midway six inches in length about 6 to 8 inches from the rear of the boat.
Thanks in advance.

Personally, if it were me and the cracks were not there when the boat when in for service I would hold them accountable for the damage. I would push them to repair them before you take delivery. Keep us posted.

The boat has never been off the dealer's property as I bought it a couple of months ago and never took delivery.
I am considering trying to get out of this deal and purchase a 2011 model.

Well the conclusion of the story, no body knows how, why or who caused the gell to crack.
My dealer who I have supported over the years and has always looked after me stepped up to the plate and I am now the proud owner of a Red 2011 180SE.
