Ladies and Gents

New here and looking for some advice. I am considering a 2002 Utopia 20.5 Mercury 240EFI. Compression on cylinders are Bottom 4 123-127 top two 151, 153 respectively. Ok I have never owned a boat and love the idea of no prop, however not sure if I should get involved in this boat. I guess i should go with my gut, but since I have no boat experience I need to ask first. Guy wants 11k..not sure of hours.. physically a nice boat.. What should I be worried about and consider before i move forward. Thanks so much in advance. Ron

Welcome, I am not familiar with boats as I sm very new to the sport as well but I do know a little about automotive and that sounds like a bit of a spread in compression. Used to be that you wouldn`t want more than 10% variation from low to high.

There is a wealth of knowledge on this site and I am sure that some of the other more senior members will pipe in soon.
