Im planning on installing a 2nd battery this weekend in my challenger, however I don't really see a good place to put it. I would like to put it on the opposite side of the boat due to it weighing about 50 lbs and I don't want anything to be off balance, but the only way to do that is to cut off about half of the tube for the blower. If anyone has an idea im glad to hear it. Also, have my hydro turf on the way next week, what's the best way to clean the floor before putting it down? Thanks!

Steve,
Give this a try regarding the dual battery setup:
http://seadoosportbo...attery-hookups/
As far as how to clean the deck before laying the Hydro-Turf down, we just cleaned ours real good with warm soap and water. Just be sure there is nothing oily or sandy on the deck prior to laying the 3M self-adhesive down. It is pretty strong stuff so once it is down press on it firmly and it should stay.
Mike Bonin over at Hydro-Turf should also be able to give you some pointers on how to get it to lay down the best too.
Keep us posted.

I was planning on counting on the low voltage alarm to warn us that the battery charge is getting low when we are using the battery while "hanging out". Is the point where the alarm goes off too late to get one more engine start from the remaining battery charge? I was thinking of bringing a jumper battery along just in case.

Well, mission accomplished. It was 35 degrees out and I can't feel my hands anymore, but the 2nd battery is in. Is a pretty tight fit, but I was able to use the factory holes for the battery trays and didn't have to drill anything. Also the new Perko switch fit perfectly where the old switch was so that was a bonus.

Clean the boat good with soap and water. Then wipe the area clean with rubbing alcohol. It strips off any wax or other residue that may be there.
