Exhaust Leaking in the hull?

Would it be possible for exhaust to leak in from that blown gasket and get carbon build-up in the carbs? I did run it with the bad gasket for about an hour to get home. That's the only thing I can figure. Strange how the bildge pump lets in exhaust and water. Isn't it supposed to keep water out?
If the Carbs are dirty, will the fuel additive and spray be enough (please say yes)

No, it's the other engine, the one that didn't have the bad gasket. I'll get new plugs and see what happens. It may take a while because I am moving on Wednesday...lots o' fun. I just put some carb cleaner in and started it and a lot of black stuff came out the "bad" engine. The other one was fine, just didn't want to idle. Is it possible that I got some water in the carbs since there was a substantial amount of water in the hull (over the carbon/ss rings). Neither engine wants to idle even out of the water. They used to idle fine out of the water. I just don't know what the problem is.
Check/replace the plugs and see what happens. Let me get this straight.... The engine that had the bad gasket is the one not running properly now?
