Our family is planning to take the 08 180 Challenger SE to North Captiva in late March. This will be Janie's first time in the salt. Obviously, I want to perform a routine exhaust/intercooler flush, but won't have the ability to take her out of the water each night.

Read the entire thread started by me regarding winterizing through the flush adapter. There is information in this thread that applies to winterizing and salt water flushing. From what I determined with the cooling system you could not flush while in the water because the fresh water flush adapter would be under the water. But salt water flushing may not be as important as people think. However, I would do it when you are through with the salt water use but BE CAREFUL. DO NOT run the engine a long time out of the water. If you read my thread you may determine for yourself that you do not have to run the engine at all.

My boat has had 30+ hours in salt water. There have been multiple times I have moored it overnight in the salt also. I just spray everything off and flush the back. All the other stuff is great but may be a little over the top. This is just info so you can put your mind at ease a little.
