I don't think the '01 Speedster ever came with anything but the 240 EFI. If the hull says 240 EFI, and the engine says 240 EFI, my guess would be that you have the 240 EFI.OK, I hope this isn't a dumb question, but i'm no longer sure which engine I have in my new (to me) speedster. The previous owner claimed that it was the 210hp carburated motor. Well, I bought it, and now i'm not even sure which motor I have... The air filter cover is round, so I first assumed it was your typical carb motor. Well, I noticed that on the hull, at the starboard side of the transom right above the boarding deck, there is a decal that says Mercury M2 EFI... Then I noticed that the round air filter cover on the engine says EFI... I'm not much of a mechanic (obviously) so I honestly can't tell by looking at it. Is there an easy way to be sure? It seems pretty fast, but I haven't come across another one to compare it to performance-wise.
