Hi everyone, my name is Stuart and I've just bought a 1996 Speedster......
this is so much easier than an AA meeting!
Anyway seriously this is the first Seadoo and first jet boat I've had. Open to any and all tips from the more seasoned guys out there. First thing so far was to replace the batteries, now it runs I had it on the water for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The thing I noticed most was how stiff one throttle lever was compared to the other....any ideas there? Because of this one engine felt like it would rev higher than the other.
The other thing, and perks of having kids! is there anywhere to fit marine stereo and speakers? or is this something that will eat my new batteries?
thanks again for the great forum, and if anyone knows of anything that I need to know then please let me know!!!!

First Jetboat!

Congrats on the new doo and welcome to the site!
You can definitely fit a marine stereo and speakers in there, shouldn't be too bad on your battery. If you are going to run it for long periods at a time you could also make the modification for dual batteries though.

Check the throttle cables, over time they need to be adjusted or even replaced.
