Just a tip if you don't already know it. When I picked up my boat, the mechanic that gave me a quick review asked if I wanted the cover that Sea-Doo uses to ship the baots to the dealer. Sure, why not. It was rolled up, so I never really looked at it. Well, I just put my boat into a pavilion for storage and decided to use the dealer cover instead of my regular cover to keep the regular one from getting dusty and avoid bird droppings. What a great cover! It has a softer inside and plastic outside. It has several straps that wrap under the boat and pulls tight. I covers about 3/4 down the side of the hull. It would be great for outside storage. So if you have the chance and need a good storage cover, see if the dealer will give you one if the models stayed the same.

I was JUST asking Kevin about *his* cover and I believe I have that same cover. Dealer said it comes shipped in it. Kevin, Doo you have the same cover as rcar908 or is it different?
rcar908, does it look like that cover can be used to travel with down the road? I seam to think I have this cover (would help if I got in the garage and OPEN the @$% thing!) and just really want to know if I can use this to travel with so I can store gear in there without it blowing away. Got a family of 4 and an FJ Cruiser... which means SPACE is a PREMIUM! Thanks for all the responses guys!
PS - Either of you have pics of your cover I can make comparisons with? That would be GREAT!!

Well I pulled the cover out again to take a look. It's basically a storage cover. Definitely not meant for trailering down the road. No visible place to secure it. Two open slits for the cleats up front. No pooling poles. No go. Well now I know. I should have taken a pic before putting it back!

Since they ship the boat with that cover on, I would assume you can trailer the boat with it on. I did once because I was ready to put it in winter storage and it was snowing. (The Halloween snow last year) Otherwise, I have my regular cover. The cover goes about 3/4 of the way down the boat and has four straps to hold it tight. It also has a draw string in the back to tighten it even more. It takes a little while to get in on because it is a tight fit. It also has two plastic fitments to allow it to breathe. Maybe they have changed the cover since 2009. I'll take a pic once I put it back on, but that will be another two months.
