I am looking for tips on how to winterize my Sportster. I live in central Minnesota and need some advise on winterizing my Sportster.
I have been winterizing my 2005 SeeDo GTI's and have not had an issue - though I will need to change the pump oil one of these days.
The boat will be stored in a garage and I do not think it gets too cold - maybe not even to the point where water will freeze - though I do want to take some precautions for long term storage. I will be looking to get it tuned up and service in the spring.
So what steps should I be taking to put it to bed for the winter.
Any tips are welcome.
Thanks

Thanks Kevin - I think I need to get the service manual as the operations manual does not have any illustrations to help identify components and points where I should affix the clamps and add antifreeze. Where can I download the service manual.
If the boat has been sitting for a few weeks after the last use and is used only in fresh water - do I need to connect water and flush it out???
Thanks

You're welcome. We have the manual available for download here, http://seadoosportbo...er-shop-manual/. You need to have an active subscription to the SDSB Club in order to download manuals which can be purchased here, http://seadoosportbo...ory/1-sdsb-club.
It is always a good idea to flush the boat after every couple of uses so I would recommend it. If you every use it in salt water you will need to flush it after every use.
