Hi,

just finished a week of cruising & wakeboarding. The carpet is very soggy, thinking of going full on turf. The hydro year dates for the challenger goes to '08 models. Is the 2010 models the same floor plan as the '08, wll the turf fit?

I believe it is the same but give Mike Bonin a call at Hydro-Turf, he will be able to verify this for you. Keep us posted on what you find out.

I believe it is, I went for just the rear platform in cut groove & gray(light). I'll wait till the carpet needs replacing before doing the whole boat. Will post photos when done to compare carpet trim with the turf.

I have just updated my order, for those interested in the different, I'm putting a light gray cut goove on the swim platform & cut goove granite in the boat where the footrests are & on the rear side wallsof the swim platform to prevent wakeboards from scratching the boat up. I figure the granite should blend nicely, but too much gray will dull the boat. We'll see how it goes.

Finished stage 1 of my challenger. Added a light gray swim platform & boarding step, along with footrests, interior boarding step, & walls of the swim platform in granite..The light gray looks awesome & matches the upholstery perfectly. The granite works well. The gray streaks in it goes well with the upholstery & carpet. I thought too much gray would make the boat slightly drab. The granite is very light in colour & blends with the white. Next job is the wake tower & bimini.

looks great! nice job. Just a sugestion for the wake tower. I have the 2008 180 challenger and added the aerial acent to it. I think it fits well and is not overpowering the boat. It is a great quality tower. These boats are too small for some of the other expensive towers. I wakeboard a lot behind my boat and there is no play on this tower at all, if anything you can actually pull the boat a little if you cut hard enough. Another pro is the bimini works in the current position. No need to move it. It looks like you have the poppy co. cover too? You can take that to an upholstry shop and they can cut the holes and make zippers just like it was made from the factory. If you have any questions about install let me know.

Thanks, the upholster is a must, I love my poppy cover as we have lots of birds in the area that'll mess the boat up. Here are the final contenders for the tower, very undecided at the moment. Opinions welcome. cheers

That other tower looks nice too! I just don't know if your bimini top would work with it. Here is a few pics of the boat and tower.

When we had our 180 Challenger we were looking at the Saber tower from Samson Sports so it might be one to consider too.

davo did you decide which tower you are going to go with?

I would say the Ology one tower. There is a good bimini maker who will custom a bimini for it. The other one is good, I think the ology will suit the lines of the boat better. Unfortunately it is more expensive, but you have to get what will be totally happy with. I will keep you guys posted when the tower gets added. Might even go the whole hog & get speakers for it just to annoy the missus.

Thanks, I'll probably get a dealer with the tower to do the install, & the bimini custom. I'll have to get it all quoted, sketch or description of the bimini etc first. I love the look of the boat without a tower, but a tower does have advantages. I'll keep you posted.
