I recently bought my first boat...a 2006 Challenger cs. I absolutely love the boat, but after reading all the problems people are having about the ceramic bearings in the supercharger, I'm a little nervous. I would really like to swap out the old bearings for new ones. I'm not knowledgeable at all about these engines....How difficult is it? Would I just be better off taking it to a dealer to do the install?
Thanks!!

Personally I am a believer of the saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". There has been a lot of talk about the ceramic washers but there has also been very many of us that haven't had any problems with the ceramic washers. I would say if you take care of the maintenance on your boat and respect it when you drive it then you most likely won't have any issues. If you just want to change them for piece of mind like others have also done then I would recommend letting your dealer take care of swapping the washers out.
