Hello everyone.
I was wondering if someone could suggest a solution on here...
I went to start my boat yesterday and it wont turn either of the engines. All I get is a click when I press the starter. I checked the battery and the connections, I even put the multimeter on and checked the voltage while trying to start - it doesnt drop below 10.5 Volts so it should have enough juice.
Is this relay / solenoid related? Is there one for both engines?
this is a twin 155 Rotax 1503 NA
Thanks

Utopia starting problem

Even though you say the volts are reading good, it still seems like a problem with not enough "juice". Our 160 Speedster use to do the same thing, click, click, click - we would try it a couple of times and it would finally start. We replaced the battery and for us it solved the problem.
In your case it could be a relay or a ground problem, have you checked that all the cable are securely fastened?

Cables are good, clean connections, securely attached. I just heard from the service guys that I need full 13V to kick the engines in. Looks like you are right - it IS the battery. Even though it's not dead - it doesnt have enough juice to turn the motor. Thanks for you reply
