I got a rope stuck in my propeller and got the rope out fine but know my boat just won't throttle all the way up. It will on cruise at about 15 mph even with the throttle all the way down. When I looked underneath the boat I also heard what seemed to be a fan sound. Not really sure what the problem is or how to fix it. All the help anyone could give me would be appreciated.

It is possible you damaged the driveshaft, did you take the grate off to fully inspect the damage that had been done? If you haven't taken the grate off, it is possible that you still have some rope jammed up in there that you haven't seen yet causing the problem.

I did get the grate off and got all of the rope completely out. I also found out after I posted yesterday that there was about 21/2 to 3 feet of water built up in my engine compartment. I did call someone yesterday also and they told me that it could have something to do with a slip shaft or something like that. Thanks for your help b
