Hi,
I have a 1997 SeaDoo Speedster with twin 85 hp rotax engines. After a long winter here in Michigan I put it back in order to take it to the lake but the engines will not start. Instead, both engines will make a whirring sound as if the engine is not engaging the starter. What makes me think this can be easily fixed is the fact that BOTH engines did this after the winter and not just one of them. Anyways, any help would be appreciated on what might be wrong and what can be done to resolve this problem. Thanks in advance!

How much charge do your batteries have?
I charged the batteries to a full charge and reconnected the battery with the boat's electrical system. The guy who winterized it sort of scammed me but he did say that the Bendix gear drive might be broken. Does this sound right? What sort of other problems might cause these symptoms? Once again, I appreciate all the help that can be provided.
