I saw the reference to the oil injector problem and having had my Islandia to the dealer a number of times before it finally burned a hole in a cylinder I thought maybe I should check this out. The boat's engine is out and I am facing a 6K repair to replace it. Having worked on boats and cars all my life as a hobby, I felt that the oil consumption was much less than it should have been for the time used. It blew with less than a 100 hours on it. Outboard engines should go 2000 without a hitch. The new outboards they say can go seven years or more. Jim

I am sorry to hear that your engine has blown, are you going to replace it?
