BECAUSE I USUALLY USE THE RADIO WITHOUT RUNNING ENGINE FOR A LONG TIME DURING WEEKEND ,AT THE END OF EACH DAY I HAD AN AUTOMATIC TRICKLE CHARGER TO CHARGE THE BATTERY IN THE GARAGE .
ONLY AFTER THE BEEPS &IF YOU HAVE STOP THE ENGINE & PUT AGAIN THE KEY IN HIS POST 12V LOW APPEARS AT THE LCD INFORMATION CENTER.
I HAD A 12HOURS BREAKING PERIOD WITHOUT CHARGING SYSTEM ON THE BOAT ONLY WITH THE CHARGING FROM THE HOUSE.THE CHARGING FUSE(LOCATED UNDER EFB)WAS BURNED BECAUSE OF THE MELTING HARNESS FROM THE EXHAUST NEAR THE ENGINE FUSE BLOCK.
THIS IS A FACTORY FAULT!I HAD NEVER TOUCH THIS PART OF THE ENGINE!MAYBE LONGER HARNESS OR HARNESS NOT PROPERLY TIED TO AVOID THE CONTACT WITH THE EXHAUST.
I HAVE ALREADY REPAIRED THE BURNED WIRE &REPLACE THE FUSE WITH A NEW ONE FROM THE SPARES AND THIS WEEKEND I WILL TRY WITH A MULTIMETER TO FIND OUT IF THIS SITUATION CAUSE A PROBLEM TO THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR OR TO THE STATOR!ALL THESE DAYS THE BOAT RUNS GREAT WITH TOP SPEED 50MPH EXCEPT FROM THE NOISY BEEPER SOUNDS!
