I recently purchased a 2005 sportser and the seat part has to be removed to be re-upholstered. I am going to get it re-upholstered but don't know how to remove it. Can any one advise me on this? I don't want to damage it.

I checked it out already. Unfortunately it doesn't describe how to remove the seats from my particular model. I understand there are darts that hold it in but I am unsure if there are screws as well. I don't want to pry them off and realize that the seats cannot be re-installed properly.

I have an 08 model, but yours is probably the same. The middle seat is covering the access to the fuel pump, so it is different. For the middle seat bottom, pull the part closest to the backrest straight up, then slide the seat toward the bow of the boat. The other seat bottoms, pull straight up, the seat backs, pull straight out. You will want to replace the "Darts" when you re-install the seats, at about $4 each.
